Preparation: 
Scan reference materials. Decide on the information that you want your peers to learn from your paper. Pick at least 3 points. And no more than 4.

Activity or Strategy Description: 
In helping a student create a research paper, assist the student in topics that he would like to research. Once student has decided on a topic, then have student research infomation on the topic. Then have student reflect on what he/she would like to transpire to his peers regarding topic, calling upon those 3-4 categories. They will paraphrase a statement they would like to use, place it on an index card and title that card by one of its categories. The goal is to have about 4-7 statements of each category or more depending on the size of the paper that will then be the creation of 3-4 different paragraphs on the points that the student wants their peers to learn or know about.
