Preparation:
Already taught concepts of mean, median, mode, and range. Students have a general understanding of concepts.
Activity or Strategy Description:
On the board as a group, do a a review problem. Address any issues/questions. Explain to students that they will be rolling dice to determine what their numbers will be for each problem. If there is only one dot, that represents a one digit number. If there are two, that represents a two digit number. Once they finish filling in their numbers, students will use these numbers to determine mean, median, mode, and range for that set of numbers.
