Activity or Strategy Description: 
Have some statements that students can agree/disagree with that pertain to the topic you will be discussing. Have one side of the room be "agree" and the other "disagree" with the center being "neutral." Have students move to whichever side appropriate for each statement. Have students explain why they are on a particular side. Great structured debate and accessing of prior knowledge before moving into something new.
