Activity or Strategy Description:
While students are working with me either individually or in small reading group setting, my other students must be engaged in meaningful work. I would make up large folders with vocabulary words/games, scholastic news and question and answer worksheet, specific jobs, writing assignments, and related activities (word search, special worksheets, and or workbooks) to complete in small groups.
Give them a visual list to fill in concerning the materials covered each week.
I play soft instrumental music (jazz) and their volume must stay below the music or they work individually.
