2013 Beginning Teacher STEM Conference

INTC presented a two-day conference for new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) teachers.

What: A two-day conference with speakers, STEM content breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and more.
When: July 30 and 31, 2013
Conference check-in begins at 11:00 on July 30 followed by a welcome lunch at 11:30.

Who:
  • K-12 STEM teachers with one to four years of full time classroom experience including:
    • Secondary teachers of math, science, technology, and engineering
    • Elementary teachers who teach any STEM content
  • Mentors and others who support new K-12 teachers in their STEM curricula. Mentors must attend with their protégé, and only one mentor or support personnel may register per beginning teacher.
Cost: This is a low cost conference for participants thanks to the generosity of Governors State University, the University of Illinois Research Park, and the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There is no conference fee, and hotel rooms for the night of July 30th will be provided by INTC. Attendees are responsible for the cost of their own transportation and any additional personal expenses incurred.

Hotel Room
Hotel rooms are available. Reserve your no-cost conference hotel room here. Be sure to select check in date of July 30, 2013 and check out of July 31, 2013. If those dates are not selected, it will appear as though rooms are not available when they are.
