Activity or Strategy Description:
I would give the students a topic (i.e. favorite vacation, dream job, etc.) at the beginning of the class period and they have to type for 5 minutes about the topic. If the student is 'stuck' then they retype what they already have. This is a great warm-up exercise for keyboarding, plus it is a good time to check for proper technique.
