Activity or Strategy Description:
At the beginning of every class, students get their math journals. The teacher should have the math journal (question, equation, problem...) on the overhead for the whole class to see. This should be a review problem or a challenge question. Give time for all students to answer, then go over the math journal as a whole class. Repeat daily. They make their own math journal each quarter. Let the students spend a class period creating and coloring their math journal.
