9th Annual INTC Induction and Mentoring Conference

"The Changing Landscape of Induction and Mentoring"

Targeted attendees are induction and mentoring program coordinators, mentors, administrators, higher education faculty, professional development providers, and other stakeholders.  District teams or single representatives are welcome as well as those from other states.

Nearly 200 educators and policymakers from diverse contexts (urban, suburban, and rural) and all parts of the state attended the event.

Activity	Description
Conference PowerPoint	This was the PowerPoint used during the conference.
Keynote Feb. 25	Access the PowerPoint presented by Dr. Peter Youngs. Session underwritten by the Illinois Principals Association.
Director's Remarks	Dr. Patricia Brady's welcoming presentation on Day 2 of the conference.
Team Work Sessions	Conference participants worked together in their induction program teams. Three separate sessions occurred during the Conference. Reference the work session documents for use in guiding future formative assessment work.
Critical Issues Breakout Sessions	Conference participants had five sessions over two days they could attend based on interest.
Illinois Induction Program Continuum	A continuum of induction program developmental stages toward meeting and exceeding the Illinois Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Beginning Teacher Induction Programs.
Illinois Induction Program Standards	The Illinois Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Beginning Teacher Induction Programs establish a clear framework to assist in the development of research-based induction programs that meet local needs and are responsive to local contexts.
Illinois Induction Start Up Guide	This guide is intended to help new induction and mentoring programs get started—whether the program is being run by a school district, a Regional Office of Education, a university, or another service provider.
