Y2: Moving Beyond Survival

A two-day conference for teachers who just completed their first year of teaching in Illinois. Conference activities included speakers, breakout sessions, networking opportunities and more.

Why:
Beginning teachers face tough challenges in their first year. This was an opportunity for them to:
  • Reflect on and share the past year’s teaching experience
  • Contribute to the improvement of preservice teacher preparation and novice teacher induction
  • Network with beginning teachers from around the state
