Connecting with parents in positive ways early in the year can make it easier to work collaboratively later in the year if there is an issue needing to be addressed. A kindergarten teacher participating in the Caring Teacher's Guide to Discipling book discussion invites parents to sign up to be "Mystery Readers" in her classroom, taking turns sharing a story with the class. What other ways can we build positive, collaborative relationships with the parents/guardians of our students?
